Hi, I'm Dan, and I'm a fully trained and accredited, practicing Art Psychotherapist based in Worcestershire.
I've loved art my whole life, and got my degree in illustration with ambitions of working in children's books, concept art and comics; but my interest in mental health took me down a different path...
When I found out there was a profession that could combine my passion for art with my fascination of the human mind and desire to help others, I knew I'd found my calling- I achieved my Master's degree in Art Psychotherapy from the University of South Wales, and am now a fully qualified and practicing NHS Art Psychotherapist, offering online Art Therapy through private practice for anyone interested in this powerful, effective approach.
I have full member accreditation with the British Association of Arts Therapists (BAAT), and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, meaning I must adhere to the highest standards of practice and ethics for my profession. If you have any further queries about my education, training or practice, please feel free to get in touch, I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!
Art therapy is a great way to explore and process thoughts and feelings that words just can't express- and offering Art Therapy online gives us the opportunity to work together in a way that suits you.
I provide a warm, human and authentic approach that is trauma-informed and person-centred.
From brief interventions to longer term work, I offer a safe and compassionate online art therapy experience, helping you to explore issues such as identity, self-esteem, feelings of guilt and shame, low mood; depression; anxiety; trauma; and forming and maintaining relationships.
Together, we will explore the issues that are troubling you, using art to help us define the more difficult to express aspects of these challenging thoughts and feelings. Make no mistake, it's you doing the work, but I will be there with my knowledge, training and experience to help you navigate these issues.
If this sounds like the kind of work you might benefit from, or have any further questions, check out the FAQs section to find out more.
Or if you prefer, simply get in touch using the contact form- I'd love to hear from you!
